hey. today ... i'm going to share a simple story ... abt apple =D. i heard it thru yes93.3, so ... if my translation isnt nice, dun blame me !!! haha.
it's a simple story, and hopefully it will stir up some thoughts in u. haha
so here it goes ... 1 day, the son came back frm the nursery n saw his dad reading newspaper on the couch. he ran over to him and exclaimed, "daddy!!! today we found stars in apples!!!". with an almost non-chalant attitude, he asked, "how is that possible," then he took an apple frm the fridge and asked his young son how they did it. the son quickly grabbed a fruit knife and started halving the apple. yes, he cut it. but, in a rather queer way. instead of the traditional longitudinal way, he halved the apple transversely. he proudly showed the core of the halved apple to his dad. his dad opened his jaws in disbelief, nv did he ever realise that a star resides in an apple. all along he, n supposedly all man, cut the apple the 'original' and 'traditional' way, or jus eat it on the whole.
any tots yet? many a time we looked at things in onli 1 way n jumped into conclusion. frequently, we took things for granted n as many times, we tot negatively when we encountered setbacks. if we could take a step back, put ourselves in others' shoes n look at things frm different angles, perhaps, jus perhaps, things could change for the better. frm a setback, we learned a lesson. frm a fall, we learned how to stand up agn. frm a failure, we learned to start agn with a better view.
maybe this is not persuasive enuff to get thru u, but i jus wan to share it with ppl =D. hope u like it tho.
part 2 !!! haha. nahs, it's not part 2. jus random entries. FO frm 3rd-5th april, and 2nd will be prep camp ... so ... away for 4 days n 3 nites, will miss my laptop, n u guys. lols.

'Preview' for the FO !!!
game trial 2 from 22nd - 23rd march ... it wasnt exactly fantastic, but it was still fun.
taking this as a preview to the camp, i guess the freshies will enjoy the camp. however, things are different for us. prep time and stuff were alright, but to wait for the GLs, dat's absolutely torturous. not to sae that they're slow, or time wasting, but since there's onli 1 grp of GLs, we GMs were totally ... bored to death while waiting for them. guess game trials have to be revised abit. perhaps ... including 1 more grp ... of SENIORS.
HIGHLIGHTS. first day was alrite, as we werent that tired. had the rubberband nitemare, and the forfeit of drinking the assorted juice. yes, juices of ginger, onions, chilli, celery, garlic bla bla. but to be kind, lemons, oranges and carrots were treats. followed by the nite game, tho dint participate, but since i had played it in the last IC, i would say it's sure to be 1 of the highlights for the camp. n of cus, the trial NITE WALK. stationed in LT4A(A)/(B) storeroom with JR. perhaps for this trial, they're all GLs and seniors, so wasnt dat successful in scaring them. freshies, watch out man ~ amendments were made to make it scarier, wohooo.
2nd day, dead and tired frm insufficient slp. tings got worse due to the long waiting time at MS for the outdoor games. it was probably alrite for us, since we're the 1st in line, but for other grps, it mus have been a hell time for them. and oh gosh, we actually slept unglam-ly in the public. wahahah.
overall, quite a nice one. afterall, it's better than working. and ... get to noe a little bit more ppl, which ... is gd? yea. shud be. haha.
nxt up, FO. cant wait. haha. tho that will make me dead-er. of cus some catching-ups to do b4 yr 2 starts which i tink, will be hectic, unlike in yr 1. woohoo~

a long long wait: part 2
i'd promised to continue ... so ... here it is.
soon after my bdae, was the cny, which lasted for 15 days. i'm going to keep this short. over these 15 days, many ang baos were collected, wishes were exchanged, and familiar, yet distant faces were met during this occasion.
cny had ended tho, say...5 days ago? results were out too, 3.521, avg out to 3.479, wasnt bad i guesS? still got 4 sems to get it right (>3.5). haha.
up till here, there's realli nth much to talk abt already. highlights: liverpool were through after winning on away goals against barca; getting $25 of tips money; finally, meeting up sec sch frens for a mahjong session. hmm...a mahjong session every wk for the past 3 wks (including dis), dis is bad, mus control myself.
nth interesting already. other than working, it's still working. 2nd game trial is on its way, dis time, nite walk is included. hehe...hope i wud be part of the 'scaring team'. short after that, FO camp. haha. ending dis here, bye bye ... =D

a long long wait
hey. i'm finally back to blogging...lyk after a mth? it had been an uneventful and bad mth tho, where logging in and getting online were concerned. on the contrary, the mth was fun, and very much enjoyable ... for several reason =D
for a beginning to the nice mth (let's forget the bad part alright? haha), 1st year in poly was over. now, jus waiting for results, planning of FOC (1 of the GMs under nich and fiona), inviting the new lot of freshies, and of cus, waiting for a new start in poly life. results will certainly not be flying, but i hope it can be satisfactory. afterall, i was slacking thru yr 1 to be honest, haha.
nxt up, my 18th bdae. haha, 1 year older, and i'm sure more ppl will start calling me ah pek, which i've gotten used to it thks to mr ng weekim, my bball mate, and a budd of mine in sec sch. reaching 18 wasnt a big deal afterall, which i had been anticipating and getting all excited over it a couple of days b4. in the end, wad's left is to get down to the driving centre, buying my 1st ever 4D/toto, n ... dunno? haha. nth interesting realli.
haha, more on my bdae, i celebrated with my best frens, budds, frens, and newly made fren(s). on the day itself, shopping in the afternoon with WL (1 of my budds), kbox with xinyi (best fren), kenneth (budd as well), qinfeng (pri sch classmate) n joyce (new fren !) n dinner with samuel, stanley, cy n WL (my budds !). tho no presents frm them, hehe, it was still fun. at least i know someting, i still have frens around me all the time =D. nxt up, reaching home and receiving my very first present frm my parents and sister, a angbao and a Braun shaver given to me respectively. nxt was another angbao by my most beloved ah gong and ah ma, w/o them, i realli dunno wad i wud have become. speaking of most impt ppl in my life, they tgt rank 1st =D.
looks lyk dis post is all abt my bdae, and i shall continue, i dint expect myself to write dis much. haha. so...2 days ago was celebration of Fiona's bdae. had dinner at jack's place, being noticed of my ultra-black dark rings (by ms shirley chia), and an unexpected birthday song for me!! it's been some time since i last saw my classmates, they're always great ppl. haha. took a few pics with them, and received a present from them as well. thx peeps! if u're reading dis, i realli appreciated ur tot, and...if u're not, i'll still thank u =D. haha
ok... 1 more, from sabrina LEE and Ang SY. will collect frm them tmr, so here, i thank u all in advance =D. to sabrina: since pri 3 yea? u've been great, tho we're nv close, u're still wonderful as a fren. to SY: err...nth much, continue to be a fishermen's fren alrite?! wahaha. to others: thanks peeps!!
