Let The Right One IN!

Let the right one IN.

Won't give ratings this time, but comments instead.

The NC16 show was highly rated by movie-goers and it was touted a vampire-romance much better than Twilight. My opinion was, the story line was more fascinating, nothing too fanciful like shiny bodies in the sun and superhuman speed and strength you saw in Twilight.

The vampire, Eli, was a natural freak. She moved in next to a boy, Oskar, who was constantly bullied. They became friends, in the weirdest way. A few bodies were bizzarely found hanging, frozen, and dead, following their first conversations.

It was quite an okay movie. Seriously, the whole plot was good, but still, it lacked the ultimate punch. It was NC16, without clear enactment of searching fangs and sucking of blood. Ok, and a scene of stitched up vagina. Maybe they didn't want to pollute kids' minds, but it's not an NC16 in my opinion.

More shocking scenes will bring the movie to a whole new level, in my opinion. The director brought us into a snow storm, but the avalanche never happened.

Probably that's how the movie was supposed to be.

I have no idea how to comment already. Well, it's like an art film. Probably there's an underlying meaning. I would say it will bore many people, which explained the rather empty theatre?

Done there =D.

*PS. I will blog on Polytechnic life, soon.
