Back To Old One.

Andy and Fiona had done short entries on the chalet. Maybe I'll elaborate a lil' more. I can't guarantee vivid description but I will try my very best. I take back my words. Probably you blog-hoppers should wait for Janet to update.

Clique's Chalet 2009 February 22-24

The 22nd - The helpers met at 1330hr for lunch at E!hub (some Hong Kong Cafe, the latest craze in town it seems) before we proceeded to checking in Costa Sands, Pasir Ris, the very same one we went for in Year 1. Despite the cockroaches, it sure did bring back few fond memories we had, like the changing of rooms due to some low-noise-tolerance neighbours, shuffling mahjong by wrapping the tiles in a huge towel to reduce emitted noise and yes, World Cup 2006. Haha, actually, we didn't watch, or did they? But not me I guess.

That was the chalet years ago ...

After meeting Janet, JR, Pat, Nich, Fiona, Willy and Andy, we had our lunch, checked in and went to get the BBQ stuff. JR stayed back with me in the room while waiting for the wholesale ... and we played some random card games. Haha. The wholesale guys came shortly after, while Joan and Wong Wai came too. Played more card games before we proceeded for Mahjong which basically wasn't quieten at all throughout the whole night. I stopped at what, 1930hr? BBQ all the way till all was cooked.

As usual, a few of us headed down to the beach in the ... street-lights litted sky. Count ship-lights in too. Not much stars to gaze at. Rather, we're pretty paranoid at possible incoming cockroaches.

I slept early that night.

The 23rd - I shall skip the morning breakfast at Kopitiam, it wasn't quite pleasant. Haha. Wild Wild Wet-ed (WWW) in the afternoon with Janet, Wayne, Andy, Wong Wai, GM, GJ, JR, Sarah and Shirley. We had been wanting to go in previous ones, but due to unforeseen circumstances like females' monthly woes and people not bringing trunks (myself included), we didn't make it till this time round. Well, the need for trunks and swimsuits was rubbish, as some of us went in with t-shirts and shorts without being scrammed. Anyway, it was fun, the highlights being Janet ever-ready posing for camera shots, even while doing slides, and the Samsung U-shaped Slide that made us guys (perhaps only me) gu niang for a split second when the staff pushed us down as we sat on the float. It was exhilarating. At least it didn't make me feel all giddy like those pirate ships in amusement parks.

It was dinner at Subway before we headed back. Fiona was a constant threat to Willy. LOL. Poor Willy always being targetted in Dai Dee, which was expected as he incongruously addressed Fiona as Dear the night before. Haha.

The 24th - So the chalet ended with a heavy rain in the morning. I woke up the earliest (as usual), probably 'cause I slept the earliest, again. Couldn't help it. WWW was too tiring. Once everyone woke up, we cabbed down to White Sands due to the rain for breakfast/lunch at Mac. That was like a ritual to end chalet trips =D.

Officially, this would be the last Clique's chalet while we're still considered students of SP. However, I hope we do have annual meet ups. Wait, let's not make it annual, but whenever we're free =D. Next up ... Pot LUCK! Janet will be providing the venue yet again, but what will we cook this time?

Stay Tuned ...
