touchdown ... 18 hours late

Qantas had successfully succeeded in experiencing major complications/slips/cock-ups every month when they delayed our flight for 18 hours. haha.

as many would know, that i was supposed to arrive in singapore on friday night, 9pm. however, due to a bird strike that imposed machinery complications, we did not take off on friday evening. parts had to be delivered from sydney and melbourne before the engineers could rectify the problem. it was at 530 (2 hours passed our scheduled take off time) that they made an announcement regarding this matter. and it was not until 730pm before we could collect our luggage and make our way to the prepared accomodation as Perth International Airport was short of staff.

so we checked in to City Gate Hotel for the night (arrived at 915pm) and we had our late dinner before tucking in at roughly 11pm. the bus came at 6am early next morning, and yes, we all had insufficient sleep.

830am was the re-scheduled take-off time. BUT, again, shortage of staff delayed our check-ins and everyone was seated only by 930am. that's 18 hours of delay. i'm not going to complain much about the incident, cause i thought Qantas handled pretty well - it all went down to the poor service of the Perth Airport.

so nothing much yesterday as i was too tired so i just stayed home after eating my favourite won ton mee at lavender.

went out for brekky this morning with my family, and meet up with Sarah at bishan after that. had lunch at Cafe Cartel and walked around as she shopped for bag, stationeries and some random stuff. sent her home after awhile as she needed to go to her granny's place.

year 3 commences tomorrow and i'm looking forward to it. wish me well!
